What you will do
- Design and develop a React Native Smart TV application targeting Android TV, Apple TV, Fire TV, LG webOS and Samsung Tizen from a single codebase.
- Build the next-generation multi-screen experience that allows users to watch live sports events on TV while interacting, chatting and engaging with their sports communities via companion mobile apps.
- Implement and evolve the OTT experience, including live video streaming, VOD playback, media controls, error handling and robust focus management for remote control navigation.
- Work closely with backend, mobile, Roku, QA, DevOps and UX/UI teams to deliver consistent cross-platform user journeys and high-quality releases under tight, business-critical deadlines.
- Integrate and fine-tune video playback solutions and streaming SDKs on TV platforms, ensuring stable playback and performance across various devices.
- Participate in application architecture and system design discussions, contributing to performance optimization and scalability of the TV clients.
- Collaborate directly with the client’s technical leadership to clarify requirements, propose technical solutions and proactively highlight risks and trade-offs.
